Speciality Of Grilled Romaine Lettuce!
Grilled Romaine lettuce? Sounds nuts right? Grilled lettuce? Isn’t that just grilled salad?!
To truly appreciate the unbeknownst sweetness of romaine lettuce, one must grill it. Only with that char, will one every experience a magical side dish.
Romaine lettuce has some natural sugars inside that are not released by slathering it with caesar salad dressing. It is only released with heat. High heat. Like molten lava heat. Combine those sugars with something so simple as grated cheese and the resulting combination is as wonderful as it is off the wall with a sweet smokiness and the lovely savory from the cheese.
Today's Tip : Very similar to the Hardwood chunks are the Hardwood chips, also known as smoking chips. These can give you authentic wood flavor to your food when soaked in water before using. However these are not sufficient to be used alone as fuel as they can moisten the fire if used too generously.
